If you have never been to a spa or a place that offers body work you may be a little overwhelmed at how things work. We would like to let you know what to expect during your visit here with us so you can fully relax and unwind.
Booking an appointment
our busiest hours are nights and weekends especially during the holidays. If your schedule only allows you to book at these times, we encourage you to book out as far as possible to allow you your desired time. If you are a little more flexible and can come in mid-week, we are better able to accommodate you with less notice. We also have a second story where most treatment rooms are at; if you are unable to climb stairs please let us know when booking your appointment so we can make sure a treatment room on our main floor is open for you.
Methods of Payments
We accept all major debit/ credit cards, checks and cash.
We also accept spa Finder Gift Cards
We have both male and female therapists on staff. Unless you let us know of any objection at the time of booking, we will book you with the first available qualified therapist. We love when our guests request their favorite therapist but please be aware that he or she may not be available during your requested time unless you are willing to book around his/her schedule.
Checking in /Checking out
Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your appointment time. This will allow for you to check in, use the bathroom, talk with your therapist and begin to unwind. We strive to keep our appointments on schedule so if you arrive late and your therapist has someone after you, although we dislike doing so your appointment may have to be shortened or rescheduled.
After your treatment we do allow a couple minutes for you to rest on the table, do some stretches or take some deep breaths to waken your senses. If you are receiving another treatment one of our staff members will direct you to your next place.
When your treatments are finished, you will check out at the reception desk where you will be given water or tea and your therapist will let you know what you should do after the treatment/s your just received. You can add gratuity on a credit card or place it in the tip envelopes located at the reception desk.
If you are going to cancel your appointment we ask that you give us at least 24 hours so we can fill that space. If you do not show up to your scheduled appointment, you will be charged a fee of $50 which will need to be paid in full before your next visit.
Your treatment, time and body are yours. We want you to thoroughly enjoy your experience. Please feel free to let your therapist know your preferences; pressure or the massage, areas of concerns, temperature of the table or the room. If you do not tell your therapist, they will not know that you are uncomfortable.
Discomfort or Dissatisfaction
Please let your provider or staff member know immediately if you are uncomfortable for any reason. Our goal is for your experience to be positive, and corrections can only be made if we are made aware of a problem at the time of service.
If you have any type of medical condition, be sure to mention it when you book an appointment. Certain treatments may not be advisable for you. Also, before your treatment begins, let your therapist or esthetician know of any medical concerns.
We suggest you wear casual attire, something you can easily slip off and on without fussing. If modesty is an issue, please don't hesitate to chat with us about treatments that can be done while you're fully clothed. We provide any necessary towels, robe and slippers for you to wear during your visit.
The best way to receive a massage or other bodywork is to be unclothed. However, we never require you to be naked if it makes you uncomfortable. Our therapists are trained in the "art of draping." They will leave the treatment room while you get under the sheet on the table, keep you covered at all times except for the area of the body they are working on, and will leave the treatment room before you get up from the table.
Most therapies flow more easily without the interference of jewelry. We recommend removing neck and wrist ornaments, but prefer that you wear your rings. Please be sure not to leave your valuables behind.
Food and Beverage
It's best not to receive bodywork on a full stomach, so schedule meals or snacks to allow at least an hour before your treatment. Drink water, especially if heat therapies are part of your package. Since bodywork introduces clean, oxygenated and nourished fluids into your tissues and stimulates your body to purge toxins, it is important to flush them out by drinking plenty of water. Be aware of what you're putting into your nice clean body after your treatments, especially refined sugars, high fats, caffeine and most importantly, alcohol - any of these may have a stronger effect on you than normal. Toxins that are not flushed from your body can be reabsorbed and may give you a "toxin hangover." If this happens, drink more water!
Gratuities are not included in our prices but are gladly accepted. Calculate the amount of your tip as you would in a restaurant - between 15-20%, but you may, of course, leave more or less, depending on the quality of the service. It's more convenient to leave a tip in the small envelopes available at the desk when you check out rather than giving it directly to the therapist (who may not be available at the time).
Because our environment should be a tranquil and stress-reducing experience, we request that cell phones and pagers be turned off before entering our space
Although we try to disguise outside interference with music, fountains and sound-absorbent walls, loud voices and noises do filter through. We ask that you please be mindful of others enjoying their treatments, who are truly appreciating all the peace and quiet that's possible, and try to keep conversations at a low volume.
